This Log Home located in Buxton Victoria, has a
beautiful setting amongst tall Gum Trees.
This is the first Log Home to be put onto a 600mm
Stub Wall made with bricks which will later be Stone Clad, the
purpose of this Stub Wall
was the owners requested to build on a concrete
slab, and to get the Log walls above the ground level to reduce
splash from rain water to prevent any damage to the Log's
this was the solution

The Log wall being completed at our Log yard with
the Log Floor Beams and Joist in place

Setting out the Truss Table to make the Full
Round Necked Down Log Truss

Finishing off the Log Rafter

All the Log Ridge Poles and Purlins

Beginning to assemble the roof system at the Log
Yard just to make sure it all fits

Putting the Log Ridge in place over the main
entrance

Craning into position the Collar Tie truss over
the two side wings of the house which will
lead into the two bedrooms, the Collar Tie Truss
gives you clear access underneath but
functioning the same as normal Strut Truss

All finished, now we can mark out the positions
to drill the holes for the
Power access and Hurricane Rods

Loading the Trucks in the Log Yard ready to move
to its permanent site

Almost there, last couple of items then we are
ready to go

Arriving at the site and preparing the Ant
Capping for the first Sill Log

Assembling the Trusses then they will be craned
aside until we have all the walls up

Putting the Through Bolt Connectors in place to
hold the Jack Post

The first Sill Logs are now in place so we check
we are square and tie the Sill Logs to the Foundation.

A close up of the Sill Log being tied to the
foundation

Now we can stack all the logs back

The boys are happy we are on the home run

Getting up their now just putting the log beams
in place for the upper story.

Now we have the upper story in place and the last
Log Walls we can now start to put the roof system up

Craning into position the first Strut Truss

Here comes the Collar Tie Truss

And all the Ridge Poles and Purlins are in
place

All done re-assembling now we can start cutting
out the windows and doors

exterior stain on
